HESM&A, Inc. has staff members that are LEED certified and have performed commissioning services for high-rise office buildings, the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program Campus in Savannah, Georgia, Georgia Tech Food Processing Technology building in Atlanta (LEED criteria was implemented as much as possible with the available budget), Classroom and Convocation Center at Kennesaw State University, Social Science Building and Multi-purpose Building at Kennesaw State University (current LEED project), Lander University Student Housing Building in South Carolina (current LEED project), Calloway Lodge and Spa at Calloway Gardens (current LEED project), two GSFIC projects for DTAE (current projects) and several projects constructed for Sprint PCS, Inc.
We currently have two (2) LEED commissioning projects in production at Emory University in Atlanta and Oxford, GA. The Emory Psychology Building is a 120,000 square foot, $37.5 million project now in the warranty testing phase. The Emory Oxford Residence complex is a 3 story, 350 bed, 106,000 square foot dormitory building which has just started construction. We are also working on Energy Modeling for the Emory Rollins Health Center Expansion, which is a 200,000 square foot building with a $60 million construction budget now at the completed Schematic phase.
Over the last few years, we performed commissioning services for many Sprint Switch facilities that process cell phone calls in their PCS network. Many of these projects were concurrent in their construction as noted below:
Boston, MA Site #1; Boston, MA Site #2; Manhattan, NY; Teterboro, NY; Miami, FL #1; Miami, FL #2; Nashville, TN; Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Rochester, NY; Long Island, NY; Norfolk, VA; Knoxville, TN; Albany, NY.
We also performed a LEED criteria analysis for The Lovett School (Upper and Lower Schools) after completion of the original construction documents in response to the Owner's investigation into LEED certification of these buildings. We provided pricing documents to determine the cost of the required upgrades to obtain a LEED Silver rating, however, the cost exceeded the available budget.
Our team of commissioning agents serviced these projects in a timely, efficient manner which not only included review of design documents on some projects but also field work on other projects which were under construction at the same time. With this experience, we are confident we can support multiple projects.
